Good Times #109 "Soft Water Session" by Athi Maq
My name is Athi Maq fka Flōyu, a DJ and Landscape Architect student based in Cape Town, South Africa. I select a variety of sounds, 'genre fluid' as I like to call it, as long as it's deep, honest and fun.
The title of this is borrowed from my Soft Water Mix series I started early 2020, published through @A11Agency periodically. Which I haven't been able to do in a while, so it's a pleasure to replicate that sort of mix over here.
I called it Soft Water, cause the world can be so tough sometimes and water is the most healing component. Through the selects, I always envision and hope to bring a sense of calm to the listener but also lively them up by the end with a bit of groove. Just as the waves of the ocean, gently lap up onto the shore at low tide and vigorous high energy motions during high tide so does a typical Soft Water mix.
