Cape Town-Based GAZE Releases Latest Single, "July"

Cape Town-based alternative band GAZE ended the year with a final single,”July”. A song steeped in themes of regret and loss, "July" encapsulates the bittersweet nostalgia of rainy nights spent driving—moments of heartbreak, reflection, and rumination that resonate universally.

The single's cover design reflects these emotions, inspired by the evocative imagery of rainy nights. Regie, a member of the band, shared, "Lauren and I share a nostalgia for rainy nights spent driving in the car. It has become a kind of universal symbol for heartbreak and rumination, and for a song like July in particular, the themes being regret and loss, the motifs of reflection and bokeh felt appropriate around which to center the artwork."

"July" is now available on all major streaming platforms.
