Good Times #33 Fernweh by Melissa Hill
“Coming from the era of Assembly (at it’s peak), Waiting Room and many more, every weekend was saturated with live music. This became an obsession, and when adulthood struck I found myself working in bars and restaurants - always in charge of playlists.
Many years later and after too many tequilas a friend and I decided to start a DJ duo called Oh Those Guys (hilarious because we are both girls), and what started as a semi-joke resulted in us getting booked (and paid?!) for gigs at various places in JHB. Funnily enough nothing on this playlist would ever be on our set list, as we played mainly early 2000’s hip hop and RnB. But Regardless of genre, there are few things more fulfilling than someone loving the music you’re playing, wether it’s a curated DJ set or a drunken Uber-aux car party.” - Melissa Hill
