Amy Ayanda ‘Beginners’ Music Video

“The music video grapples with the challenges and wonder of first time parenthood; fear, sleep deprivation, diminishing me-time and loss of identity, as heard in the lyrics. We join Amy on a journey through her daily to do’s and witness her make magic of the mundane.”

“During the making of the film, we were suddenly interrupted by an enforced lockdown, placing the project on ice for months. By the time we finally got back to work, it turned out both Amy and I were now pregnant. This time, me being the ‘Beginner’, the one facing new parenthood, and Amy in a whole new world, with twins. This was something we could never have planned, but also couldn’t have imagined would be so special. Our approaching motherhood bringing a real sense of authenticity to the film as a whole.” Maxime Bang - Director
