New Holograph single powerfully questions where humanity is right now
A brand new single from South African-born, Amsterdam-based Holograph is a powerful questioning of where humanity is right now.
Titled “Unterwelt”, the deeply melodic and affecting single carries a story about a hero coming from deep below the earth to question humanity and life as we currently live it. Are we still worth saving? Has humanity allowed us to thrive as we should? Or are we prisoners to our own rules and hence our own demise?
“Unterwelt” follows “Green Sky” which was released in November last year, setting the scene for Holograph’s latest journey into post-punk, post-wave.
Holograph formed in the pits of 2020. Emerging from early songwriting sessions during lockdown back in Cape Town, the band has evolved many times to its now European-based form. The Dutch iteration of the band consists of Warren Fisher (Guitar), Ines Southscka (Vox & Synth) Calvin Siderfin (Bass) and Lewis Kerins (Drums)
Holograph will soon release an archived EP from its last days in South Africa. Featuring a varied palette of tracks, the EP darts around the so-called revival of Post Punk, touching on the fringes of the genre.
