Release Radar: Yndian Mynah "RAOK" (Felix Laband Remix)
Globally revered electronic musician, Felix Laband, has remixed Yndian Mynah’s “RAOK”, giving thrilling new shape to the Cape Town band’s late 2020 single.
On a track that illuminates the transformative power of random acts of kindness, Laband magnifies the cinematic textures threaded through the original with an opening soundscape that recalls the industrial atmosphere of Joy Division’s “Insight” before heading into a shimmering, bruising, tender techno landscape.
“We really loved the industrial techno feel and energy that Felix captured, while still keeping his signature sounds,” says the band. “We imagine this remix going down super well in a dingy nightclub in Berlin around 4am.”
